Google Advertiser Ban

During the month of February 2006, Google placed a lifetime ban on an Adwords advertiser that had used Google Adwords for over 4 years because another member of his household opened an Adwords account and violated their agreement.
This advertiser had been advertising with Google for years and last year had given Google over $17,000 in Adwords advertising revenue to keep his affiliate marketing business alive. During February 2006, his wife opened an account on Google Adwords and violated terms by advertising a Square trade approved pharmacy. (Google states they allow Square trade approved pharmacies, but they only allow ads from advertisers they choose, reasons unknown but speculation is that they take care of their own).
This advertiser emailed Google several times and would get no response when he discovered this his ads were not running. He finally managed to scrounge up a phone number for Google, and when he questioned a technician he was told that he violated Google's advertising terms. When he asked how, the rep stated that another person from the same household opened an account in Google Adwords and violated terms by advertising a pharmacy. When he stated that "He" did not do it, but his wife may have with her new account, the Google rep stated that Google considers everyone at the same household to be "the same entity".
Bottom line is that Google banned a 4 years Adwords veteran for LIFE because another person in his household violated their advertising terms. The Nazi's would be proud of Google.
